Detroit Outdoors is a network of Detroit-based institutions working to expand access to a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities
Detroit Inspiring Connections Outdoors (ICO), an outdoor adventure and environmental education program of the Sierra Club, provides Detroit youth with positive outdoor experiences. Detroit ICO is also excited to be a collaborative member of the Detroit Outdoors youth camping initiative at the city's only campground: Scout Hollow.
The Detroit Parks & Recreation Department strives to connect people of all ages to recreation. Whether that is sporting activities like archery or nature based activities like hiking. The recreation department works to be a safe community space for people to gather.
Bold & Gold is a youth outdoor leadership development program that focuses on building communication, leadership, and decision-making skills through meaningful multi-day camping, backpacking, and canoe trips.
